It was a great day! We completed a certified 5K race and 2-mile walk in the Fairmount neighborhood on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, featuring a Kids Fun Run sponsored by The Goddard School and the official post-race party at Urban Saloon. Walkers Category
The 2-mile course takes walkers through Girard College. The start/finish line is at 22nd and Brown streets. Walkers of all paces are encouraged to join!
Race Schedule
5K Race and 2 mile walk starts at 8:30 AM at the corner of 22nd and Brown
Kids Fun Run (ages 3-12) starts 9:00 AM on the sidewalk at 21st and Brown
All proceeds from the race benefit FESPP (Friends of the Eastern State Penitentiary Park).
Additional Information
Virtual 5K Race: Those participants who are not able to run the race in person are encouraged to complete the virtual 5K Race. This entitles you to a t-shirt mailed to you. Due to the inconsistency between courses, please note that virtual participants will not be eligible for overall or age group awards.
